SALES & MARKETING MANAGER

 

Location: Richards Bay, KZN

Candidate Requirements:

• 5 years plus experience in the liquid metal operation of the steel or other metal industry
• Strong networker with excellent writing, vocal and interpersonal communication skills
• Highly analytic, organizational, and creative thinking skills
• Proactive posture with a high sense of entrepreneurial necessity and urgency
• Ability to work under pressure and willingness to travel extensively and work overtime
• At least bachelor’s degree in metal engineering, marketing, business administration, or related
• Experience in management may be advantageous

 

Responsibilities:

• Reporting to Directors and General Management of the Company
• Research and develop domestic sales
• Achieve marketing and sales operational objectives by contributing marketing and sales information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining system improvements; implementing change.
• Identify marketing opportunities by identifying consumer requirements; defining market, competitors shares, and competitor’s strengths and weaknesses; establishing targeted market share.
• Improve product marketability and profitability by researching, identifying, and capitalizing on market opportunities; improving product packaging; coordinating new product development.
• Meet and liaise with procurement and technical customer representatives
• Do customer plant visits and write commercial/technical visit reports
• Understand the functionality of the Company’s production and products
• Ensure the Company meets its sales targets and customers’ expectations
• Develop sales/marketing plans and budget together with m-tec-powder Group
• Ensure flow of information within the m-tec-powder Group
• Report on sales development
• Understand and stay updated regarding sales related legislation
• Liaise with the Production Management of the Company
