m-tec powder GmbH, based in Töging am Inn/ Germany, one of the world’s leading companies in the field of metal powder, is expanding the capacity of its aluminum atomizer in the South African province of KwaZulu Natal.

“Despite Covid-19 and other turbulence on the world market, we are sticking to our investment plans and recruiting new employees at our Richards Bay location in order to meet the increasing demand for our highest quality aluminum powders in South Africa, Europe and America,”

said Carsten Schultz, one of the directors of m-tec powder SA (PTY) LTD.

“In addition, further substantial investments in production capacities for gas- and air-atomized aluminum and aluminum-alloy powders are planned for the coming years. The same applies to the manufacture of mechanically produced secondary Aluminum granules and -powders”, added Mr. Schultz.

The aluminum powders produced at the m-tec powder location in Richards Bay are primarily used in the field of water treatment and in chemical- and metallurgical processes.
